REQUIREMENTS
All our security guards are trained to observe, protect and prevent. If you want to become a member of our security team you will need a valid Ontario Security Guard license.
All security guards employed by North East Regional Security Services are tasked with protecting persons and property in order to prevent harm, theft or damage. Eligible candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a clean criminal record
- Be legally able to work in Canada
- Complete a 40-hour required training course which can be administered by North East Regional Security Services or by a certified training facility
- Pass provincial exam
- Have a current C.P.R. and First Aid certificate
Training
North East Regional Security Services believes that continuous training better equips our guards with the skills they will need to face the challenges in the security field. Training is top priority and we believe that it allows our members to be more efficient and effective in their position.
Our continuous in-service training is offered throughout the year and is updated regularly. NERSS utilizes the Canadian Police Knowledge Network (CPKN) for online training courses.
